Adding drivers and PINs

Go to Drivers, then Add a driver.

What you need

• Name — the driver's full name.
• PIN (4-6 digits) — this, together with your firm code, is what the driver types to log in to the driver app on the driver's phone.

Tap Add driver to save.

Keeping PINs safe

A driver's PIN is stored as a one-way secure hash — once it's set, office staff can't see what it is, only reset it. If a driver forgets their PIN, or leaves the firm, an owner or admin can:

• Reset PIN — sets a new PIN for that driver.
• Deactivate — stops that driver logging in at all, without deleting their job history.

One phone, several drivers

Tipslip's driver app is designed for a shared yard phone: any active driver can log in with their own PIN, record their jobs, and log out for the next driver.
